Eric Pedersen is the President, CEO and founder of Ideal Fish, an aquaculture company located in Waterbury, CT that produces 175 tons annually of European Seabass (aka Branzino) in a state-of-the-art recirculating aquaculture system. Ideal Fish raises its premium Branzino in saltwater and has developed an innovative process to raise freshwater produce in an aquaponics system that uses the by-products of fish production as nutrients for growing healthy, organic vegetables. Ideal Fish plans to expand significantly in the Waterbury region where the company can utilize the area’s robust industrial platform and easy access to major food markets across the northeast United States. Prior to founding Ideal Fish in 2013, Eric led several technology companies focused on developing disruptive water filtration products and systems for industrial markets. He began his career on Wall Street, working for many years in the investment banking division of Dillon Read & Co. Inc. Eric left Dillon Read to form his own private banking firm in CT focused on providing financial advisory services to industrial companies, specifically those in the water and environmental services sectors. Eric received an MBA from The Wharton Graduate School of Business in 1987 and was graduated from Princeton University with a BA degree in 1982.
